As you navigate through various sectors of space, each divided into quadrants, you will encounter enemies, planets, stars, and even star bases. Prepare your shields and arm your torpedoes as you embark on a journey to confront the enemy and aid in the establishment of a new era under the Concordiat of man.

Exploring the depths of each sector requires strategic planning. Utilize your impulse engines to move short distances by scrolling on the map. For longer journeys, consult your Star Chart to chart your course and engage warp speed. The Star Chart will also provide the location of star bases, which display red if under attack or green if secure.

When your energy wanes, shields fail, or repairs are necessary, seek refuge at a nearby star base. Take advantage of the downtime to relax and rejuvenate while your starship undergoes comprehensive repairs.

As you push back against the enemy forces, their desperation increases. However, your victories will be rewarded with valuable dilithium crystals. Mine these crystals from local planets to enhance your starship's capabilities. Additionally, you have the option to purchase crystals to expedite upgrades.

Should circumstances become dire and victory seems unattainable, unleash the destructive power of the Death Ray. This weapon of last resort can obliterate everything within a quadrant or provide a noble sacrifice at great personal cost.
